Brian Sitamulaho, on becoming Board Chair of Pestalozzi Zambia

In this inspiring interview, Brian Sitamulaho, talks to us about why he decided to join Pestalozzi Zambia as the Board Chair, what he finds so fascinating about our charity and how it differs from other NGOs. He also discusses the potential he sees in our children and the future of our Alumni and how they can make the greatest impact on the world.

Brian describes his own childhood and the struggles he had to face with his mother and five siblings. His own education was through the support of others, and he had to look after himself and his family.

But ultimately it was the gift of his education along with his intelligence that got him where he is today.

We are truly thankful to Brian, for his fascinating and inspiring interview.

Pestalozzi World is a children’s charity that provides exceptionally bright children from some of the poorest communities in Africa and Asia with a child-centred education, that produces young adults capable of changing the world.

A Pestalozzi World education not only helps our Alumni to create and build new lives for themselves, but it also contributes to long-term stability and growth in their communities. To date, 90% of our Alumni have remained in their country of origin, most supporting their communities and/or economies with careers in the public service, running businesses, and volunteering – with 64% supporting their communities once they become Alumni.

Our supporters believe that Children’s abilities are the same everywhere, but opportunity isn’t.
