Today our Pestalozzi World core programme involves the education of children in three ‘home from home’ Villages in India, Zambia and Nepal. Regarded as centres of excellence for child-centred care, our Villages allow us to cost effectively educate children in their country of origin.

We work with communities to select the best and the brightest children among those held back by extreme poverty, racial inequalities, gender stereotypes, poor education and the pressure to work and earn a living.
With the encouragement of their families, we offer these children the opportunity to leave behind these difficulties, and move to one of the Pestalozzi Villages where they receive:
And they change their worlds

Pestalozzi World believes in the power of girls to change the world…and the power of education to change the fate of girls.
Education can change the fate of girls. Ensuring that girls get a secondary education is one of the most effective ways to avert child marriage, early pregnancy and unemployment. This is why two out of every three children we select are female.
The girls who join our programme are given the tools and support they need to become future leaders and change-makers – and exceptional role models for other girls from their communities.
