Our Schools
We select high-quality school partners with compatible values or, as in Zambia, a school management company to run a Pestalozzi World owned school.
As far as possible, Pestalozzi World works with schools providing an education that reflects Pestalozzian ideas on teaching with a child-centred approach and developing critical thinking, or we influence schools to develop these approaches.
In India and Nepal, our children attend high-quality private schools that deliver results for the children that allow them to access scholarships to universities independently.
In Zambia, due to a lack of affordable and quality schools, Pestalozzi World owns the Pestalozzi Education Centre (PEC), which ENKO Education manages:
- It offers a high-quality education for our scholars at the adjoining Zambian Village
- Profit is derived from fee-paying day pupils to support the costs of the Village.
Phase 1 PEC School Expansion ($549k) was completed in 2022, introducing six new classrooms and parking/playground space to accommodate 850 children.
Although not anticipated to reach total capacity until 2024, a 43% subsidy for educating Pestalozzi World’s scholars has been achieved in 2023
The school has grown quickly on the back of the International Baccalaureate offering and its reputation. We believe that on current demand, 1,100+ children could be enrolled.
Pestalozzi Educational teaching methods
Pestalozzi World has pioneered a modern, secular interpretation of JH Pestalozzi’s pedagogy with emphasis on fostering altruistic young adults.
