TACKLING POVERTY WITH EDUCATION
We sponsor the secondary education of bright but underprivileged children in the poorest regions of Africa and Asia. Our 600 scholars come from rural areas in India, Malawi, Nepal, Thailand and Zambia, and include refugees from Angola, the Congo and Tibet.
WE ARE CAREFUL WITH YOUR MONEY
All our administrative costs are paid for by the trustees so that 100% of donations received are used for the children’s education and care.
Our total annual cost per child (tuition, room, board, school clothing, pastoral care and vocational training) is US$1200 or £900.
FOCUS ON EDUCATING GIRLS
Scholars are selected in the ratio of 2 girls to every 1 boy in an attempt to redress the lack of educational opportunities for female children. Educate a girl and she is more likely to have a positive impact on her family, village or local community.
Alumna on graduation day
The Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi approach to education aims to develop children into well balanced and responsible adults by fostering their "Head, Heart and Hands" - that is, academic knowledge, moral and social awareness, and vocational skills.

CIRCLE OF SUCCESS
Our alumni are encouraged to help educate new generations of disadvantaged children in the same situation they once faced themselves. One way is to set up scholarship Foundations in their own countries. Our long-term aim is that these become self-sufficient so we can move on to help children in other countries.
